At a recent VIM Technologies User Group, key members of the EPA CAMD presented material on changes to the Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS) and how electronic data is reported. Topics discussed as part of the redesign were modifications to the monitoring plan, the technical architecture of the EDR reports, a new stand alone software tool to QA and submit your EDRs as well as the project timeline.

Revised Regulations – Part 60 Subpart Da, Db and Dc
The EPA proposed major revisions to Subpart Da, Db and Dc. Although the lower permit limits only affect new or modified sources many clarifications have been made that affect ALL sources including; how data is averaged, how valid hours are determined and what quality assurance procedures need to be done. Discussions with the EPA indicate that they are prepared to release a final version of the Rule shortly after the end of the year.

PADEP will be formulating their response to comments received concerning Revision 8 of the Continuous Source Monitoring Manual in the coming months.
